The first thing I’d do is make a template with guitar tracks, bass tracks, drum sampler tracks, instrument tracks, percussion tracks and a tag track. Even if I lost my work – I’d still publish a new track every day.
I’d record midi tracks first and then guitar. I’d quantize all midi and guitar tracks. Closer to release I’d record the top bass and quantize it too. As usual – I’d gain stage the tracks and master the output with ozone to get the best quality.
I’d create beatstars, airbit, youtube and social media accounts. Probably record beats for 31 days and then start publishing the tracks. I’d use FL to make videos for instagram – so I’d need to make video templates for the posts and stories.
Motivation
It’d be good in some ways because I’d get to remake the tracks I’d already made. Even though I’d have lost the work – I’d still have the benefits of the information and experience from doing the work.
I’d upload my work to beatstars and airbit – so that’d keep me motivated to keep going. That’d be 3 copies of my work – computer, beatstars + airbit.
