We looked at the best reverbs and delays so now lets check out the best modulation effects. These effects can enhance our tracks. For some of these effects we’ll automate them on and off with automation.
Chopper

Its great to add this to the rhythm section at certain parts of the track with automation. I only just started using it recently but its very good. It has a bounce preset that sounds really nice and it can take the track somewhere different.
Studio Chorus/Chorus | Modulation Effects

I like to use studio chorus on my stereo tracks and regular chorus on the mono tracks. I like to add chorus to tracks like guitar 1 and keys because it adds sweetness to the sound. We could also use the new LFO modulators in Cubase on this to make it sound like its moving throughout the track.
Icewave | Modulation Effects

Thats one I just started using recently and I’ve really been liking the sounds. I found some great presets on there for guitars and its adds some really cool wobbly delay type effects. Its really good for tracks with a cold ice kind of theme.
Parallax

Thats amazing because it sounds like how it looks. Its like a space station kind of sound, its great on space and futuristic types of tracks. I mostly like to use it as a send effect and I set the send effects to 100% mix. It sounds good and works well with multiple tracks at a time.
Rust | Modulation Effects

This is another great effect because it can add a grainy lofi chorus type of sound to the track. It works great on a single track or on the master bus because it has a lot of presence. Thats one of my favourite effects that I’ve found recently.
