VST and VST 2 instruments were amazing but they’re not in Cubase anymore, unless we enable them in the VST menu. Sometimes the legacy vsts caused problems in the mixdowns and crashes. I found replacements for the legacy VST in the form of new VST3s. Lets look at the best legacy vsts and talk about what was great about them.
Drum Pro | Legacy VST

I recorded this on a lot of tracks because it sounded amazing and had multiple kits to choose from. It had a hip hop kit, pop kit, rnb kit and other good ones. There was a picture on each kit and the interface was very good. These days I record each drum separately via the sampler track.
City Piano

It had a special sound that worked well on a lot of tracks. City piano was another top quality instrument with good and basic sound settings on the interface.
Oxevst | Legacy VST

It looked really futuristic and had many types of instrument presets out of the box. I could always find a good lead instrument in this plugin because they sounded really good. This is like other great synthesizers like Retrologue and Sytrus.
Synsonic 808

I used this sub on many many tracks because it had the best bass sound. I’d find notes in a high octave and then lower the octave after to make sure that the notes were correct. Thats because the notes could go to a very low pitch. It sounded great on hip hip, trap tracks and many other types of beat.
STS 33

This could create many great space atmosphere sounds. I used this to create many introduction sections on tracks and there are other great instruments sts instruments like this, from the programmer H.G. Fortune. Its great because there is a space animation while you play the instrument.
Actually I’m going to start using VST/VST2s again and just save project more + freeze tracks.
