It is great to put equalisers on tracks because they can give them a new sound or extra space in a mix. So lets discover the top 5 eq plugins and see whats good about them.
5. Ozone Dynamic EQ

This is another really good EQ option because it is like Pro-Q and it also has a delta option. It has a lot of great presets and it is great for mastering. Its especially great for enhancing the low end or low end of the mix. There are a lot of other great Ozone tools for mastering too.
4. Channel Strip EQ

This is a fast way to apply equalisation to tracks and there are also great presets to check out. There are presets for Acoustic and Electric Guitars plus many other instruments. This EQ is right next to all of the other channel strip features and it makes mixing really good.
3. GEQ-10 and GEQ-30

These are some great eqs and the number represents how many bands they have. It is good to use a lot of different EQs to get different sounds and these are good options. They’ve been in Cubase for a very long time and always help make good tracks.
2. Frequency 2

This is a dynamic EQ and it can duck an instrument with another one with side chain. It has many features and is quite a new plugin. It has mid/side processing and is another great plugin for mastering. I also like to use it to on guitar 1 and piano to give them space in the mix.
1. Pro-Q

I use this on my guitar tracks quite a lot and it sounds really good. Once again it has a lot of good presets and its easy to use. The shapes move around with the sounds, its colourful and looks good. I use a lot of other Fab Filter plugins too because they’re great.
