There are great Cubase plugins that work with all material. Lets look at the top 10 Cubase plugins and discover how they can be great on any project.
10. 🔄Autopan🔄

It pans the sound source left and right. To me it sounds best on hit hats and percussion tracks. I believe I can find more good ways to use it on my work, with more experimentation. The rate and factor determine how fast it goes – depending on the tempo of the project.
9. 🌉Gate🌉

I always put gate on my acoustic/electric guitar tracks and bass guitar tracks – with those settings in the picture. It shuts down any low noise and only allows whats louder than the threshold. It is amazing for vocals and saves a lot of time for sure.
8. 🏠Roomworks SE🏠

Its a great reverb because it sounds great and is easy to use. I’ve used it on many many tracks because it always produces amazing results. Roomworks SE is a light version of Roomworks but I just prefer using it at the moment just to practice with a more basic reverb.
7. ✨Flanger✨

When applied directly to the track it transforms the sound into a good wobbly sound. It also works good as a send effect on 100% mix to add volume/presence and wobble to a track. I’ve gone back to published projects and added this to bring new life to instruments.
6. 🕋Black Valve Compressor🕋

Thats a very powerful compressor that gives tracks a lot more presence and punch. Its great for bass/kick drums and piano. Right now its my go to compressor for bass and kick drums. I add this compressor directly to the tracks rather then adding it as a parallel compressor.
5. 🎸Wahwah🎸

Although its been in Cubase for a while, I just started using it lately. And with the new modulators feature in Cubase 14 it sounds great, I modulate the pedal automation with it. I included this plugin on a new effects chain that I made for the electric guitar.
4. 🎛Multi-tap Delay🎛

Its an advanced plugin because it has a lot of options. The ducker setting ducks the delay while the sound source is playing. There are a lot of effects to choose from and a chain of effects can be linked directly to the delay. This is also part of my new electric guitar effects chain.
3. 🏟Reverence🏟

This impulse response reverb sounds excellent on real world instruments like acoustic guitars/pianos and also vocals. It can place your sound source into a great environment like a French Chapel or Stadium. I just started using it recently and its become an important part of my sound design.
2. 🎶Stereo Delay🎶

It can make your tracks sound really wide and make them stand out/give them a place in the mix. This can help make every instrument audible in the mix. A mono guitar track can be clicked into stereo and so the stereo delay can be applied on it too.
1. 🗜Tube Compressor🗜

I like to add the Tube Compressor on my tracks via the channel strip to give them some extra harmonics and a bit of extra volume when I’m gain staging tracks. This compressor is really good for all instruments and one of the best compressors for sure.
