Multiband plugins are good because they allow us to apply effects to either a single frequency band or multiple frequency bands. There are many places for multiband plugins in the project where they can make the track sound great. Lets look at the best multiband plugins and talk about whats great about them.
Multiband Compressor

Thats an amazing compressor and it sounds really good on the guitar bus. Because the guitars occupy a wide range of frequencies and this can help us shape the sound. We can isolate each frequency band and adjust the amount of compression for each band.
Imager

This imager is good because it can make our tracks wider or narrower. We can experiment with this on our tracks and mix bus to get the best stereo image. We can use it in conjunction with supervision to fix phase issues and make the track mono compatible.
Quadrafuzz | Multiband Plugins

This is really good for both individual tracks and the drum bus. We can use it to add harmonics to the kick drum and snare. There are many types of saturation to choose from and settings to get the best sounds. We can also adjust the range of each band to affect the right tracks in the bus.
Frequency

Thats my favourite eq at the moment. It has everything we need an eq to have and makes the tracks sound great. The dynamic EQ and side chain capabilities can help make our tracks sound amazing. We can also monitor each frequency band to get the best sounds.
Squasher | Multiband Plugins

Thats another really interesting plugin that can transform our tracks into a completely different shape. It can make tracks sound louder while not boosting the volume too much. Its great to experiment with this to make tracks sound really interesting. It sounds really good on the drum bus with some automation.
