Its good use a template as a starting point for a variety of work. We might have a special template in the templates menu. Or we can open a finished project, save as new name and use that as the template. Templates can save us a lot of time setting up projects in ways we always set them up. So lets look at templates and talk about the benefits of templates.
Cubase Template

We have empty track channels for guitar, bass, sampler tracks with drums and extra instrument VSTs. There are also Guitar Group, Drum Group and Extra Instruments group. The mix bus is empty so we can create a new mix chain later on. Now we get straight to work with recording guitars and midi instruments. We can swap the drum samples and change extra instrument VSTs too.
FL Studio Template

Our main project in FL Studio is the Video Template. We always save the track image and scenery video under the same name on the desktop so that it appears in the project as soon as we open it. It will just say that it cannot find ‘name of our last track’ when we open it, so we’ll just need to add our latest Wave Master and we’ll have all the files loaded. Then we’ll need to adjust the loop region and we can go about exporting the video.
Canva and Photoshop Templates

We use templates on Canva and photoshop to create our track images. We use Canva to add our signature font to the image and crop the image. And Photoshop for all the other processing. We have a bunch of transparent packaging images and labels in the template. Its alright to use the same packaging image multiple times because we can rotate it or reposition it somewhere new. We can add saturation, brightness and contrast to the track image.
